We made it to the top of Half Dome before the sunrise!
Sun begining to come over the horizon.
Deep red in the few clouds in the sky.
Tom on Half Dome before the sunrise.
I was very excited to have made it up here before sunrise.
I have to admit the sunrise was not as spectacular as I had hoped, but it was still awesome to be up there and hike through the early morning.
The sunrise created this neat color in the atmosphere.
The mountain just to the left is where we were the day before, Clouds Rest.
Looking over the range before the sunlight hits the peaks.
Obviously it was a bit chilly once we stopped hiking. You can see my six day old beard.
Tom waiting patiently for the sun to come over the range.
Attempting to catch the suns rays.

Check out the long shadows the low sun is making from the boulders on top.
You would never know it, but the top of Half Dome has a lot of acreage.
Looking down into the Yosemite Valley. This is as close as I would get to the edge.
The sun is just hitting my face as I stand on Devils Diving Board!
The sun is just touching the top of this range.
As the sun comes up so do the varmits for some breakfeast. I have no idea how they got up there.
Tom on Devils Diving Board.
Zoomed in on Tom as he stands on Devils Diving Board.
Marmot just coming out of his sleeping den. Not too sure about me.
The shadow of Half Dome!
Shot of Sun!
Marmot posing, but expects to be paid with food.
Marmot taking in the early morning sun to warm up.
A look at the summit of Half Dome from the other side of the top.
Probably the most photographed Marmot in the park.
Anakin made it!
Tom and I on top. Look at the shadows and you can see the photographer as well.
Tom on his way down.
It is so steep on the cables that we went down backwards.
My calves hurt for days after this hike. I guess I used them most of the way up and down.
A look up at the cables.
Me coming down the cables. Look how beautiful blue the sky was.
Another shot of me coming down.
Trying to give you a perspective of the rock face we had to climb.
The summit of Half Dome!
Looking down the trail that we came up in the dark. It was completely different then I remembered when we came up.
Front view of Quarter Domes.
Mule Deer, check out the size of those radar ears.
For those of you who do not know what a bear canister looks like. This holds all food and scented items.
We did it!
Ptarmagin and chick in our campsite. Right before a bear strolled through.
Neat look down the valley that we will be going tomorrow as we head out.
Looking down Nevada Falls.
Bottom of Nevada Falls.
Cap of Liberty by Nevada Falls.
A look over the drop of Nevada Falls.
The creek at the top of the falls. Sign here states that if you go over the falls you will die! Really?
Couldn't believe that these trees were able to live and grow in this 3 inch gap.
